CSIR UGC NET Eligibility Criteria 2024
Educational Qualification –
- Candidates need a Master’s degree or equivalent in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD).
- Those currently pursuing MSc or similar programs (Integrated BS-MS/BS-4 years/BE/BTech/BPharma/MBBS) can apply under the Result Awaited (RA) category.
- BSc (Hons) degree holders with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD) or those in an integrated MS-PhD program are eligible.
- Only Bachelor’s degree holders qualify for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), not for Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professor roles.
Age Limit –
- For Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Maximum age limit is 30 years.
- For Assistant Professor / Lectureship (LS) – No upper age limit applies.
